Naming ceremonies formally welcome a new member of a family, and therefore, are an important rite of passage in the life of the person being named. As a celebrant it is a pleasure and honour to be invited to perform this important milestone with family. The ceremony for a child usually includes the meaning of their name, acknowledgement of parents, family and godparents or guardians. It is a celebration that can incorporate gifts, blessings or poems shared with loving family and friends.
